Sustainable Innovation

Driving socially responsible innovation for the common good

We support innovation that creates long-term societal value—not just efficiency or growth. Our work promotes civic and social innovation models that are grounded in justice, inclusiveness, and ecological responsibility.

Overview

We work with partners to ensure that innovation—whether technological, social, or organisational—serves sustainability, equity, and democratic accountability. Our support goes beyond technical guidance: we help design innovation ecosystems that are inclusive, participatory, and values-driven.

In Horizon Europe or CERV projects, we contribute to innovation governance, foresight, and co-creation strategies that place people and public interest at the centre.

Innovation is at the heart of Europe’s strategy for growth, competitiveness, and transition. Yet innovation that fails to address structural inequalities or democratic gaps can deepen exclusion and mistrust. The future demands innovation that is not only scalable—but socially meaningful and ethically grounded.

COGINOVA Institute supports projects that seek to develop human-centred innovation ecosystems. We offer guidance in participatory design, stakeholder mapping, social impact assessment, and ethical foresight—helping partners create innovation processes that are inclusive, transparent, and strategically aligned with public values.

We see innovation not just as invention, but as a deliberate social process. By engaging citizens, civil society, and marginalised groups, we help shape innovations that reflect diverse needs and contribute to long-term systemic resilience.
