Climate Policy

Contributing to evidence-based, equitable climate policymaking

We contribute to research and advisory processes that support evidence-based, equitable, and forward-looking climate policies at local, national, and EU levels. Our role includes mapping regulatory frameworks, facilitating stakeholder dialogue, and supporting civic inclusion in climate-related decision-making.

Overview

Climate change is not only a technical challenge—it’s a governance issue. We support climate policy development that is participatory, equitable, and aligned with international and EU law. Our work helps project partners navigate the policy landscape and include diverse voices in climate decision

Climate policy must navigate scientific evidence, political urgency, social justice, and legal constraints—often all at once. Effective climate strategies require not only strong leadership, but also inclusive governance and public legitimacy. This means putting people—and their rights—at the centre of policy design.

COGINOVA Institute works with project partners, local governments, and civic organisations to support participatory and rights-based climate policy. We contribute regulatory mapping, facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogue, and provide strategic guidance on aligning climate action with EU environmental and social frameworks.

We help bridge the gap between law, policy, and lived experience—ensuring that climate action is not only fast, but fair. Our focus is on creating climate governance that is democratically accountable, legally robust, and socially inclusive.
